Graduate of the Medical School of Thessaloniki and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at “Alexandra” Hospital in Athens. He is a Doctor of the University of Athens. He further specialized in laparoscopic surgery in Kiel, Germany, and in the United Kingdom. A pioneer of Laparoscopic Surgery in Greece, having performed the first diagnostic laparoscopy at “Alexandra” Hospital in 1979 and at “Mitera” Hospital in 1981.

Since 1985, he has been performing interventional laparoscopies at “Mitera” Hospital and organizing workshops and informational lectures on laparoscopy. Member of the Hellenic (EEGE) and the European Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE).
