ENDOMETRIOSIS REMOVAL

The removal of endometriosis should be performed laparoscopically in almost all cases. The main reason is that the image provided through the laparoscope is extremely clear and allows investigation of all endometriosis lesions, since the disease is often multifocal.

This excellent visualization and the precision of the laparoscopic maneuvers allow the surgeon to remove the maximum possible extent of the disease with the highest degree of safety and to preserve tissues such as nerve plexuses that are important for the function of the bladder and the bowel.

Even in very mild endometriosis, its removal leads to a reduction of the pain it causes and an improvement in fertility. Thus, the only truly effective treatment for endometriosis is its surgical – laparoscopic removal.
